Ultimate General: Gettysburg is a tactical wargame that allows players to take on the role of a Union or Confederate General during the famous Battle of Gettysburg. The game features a unique hand-drawn map, complex morale mechanics, innovative controls, and intelligent AI.

 <li>Advanced Line of Sight: The game realistically incorporates elevation and obstructions that affect unit visibility. Units can utilize concealment and cover to survive artillery barrages and set up ambushes; however, players must be cautious as the AI opponents attempt to do the same.</li>
 
 <li>Tactics Matter: Ultimate General: Gettysburg emphasizes the importance of tactical decision-making. Army units are not mindless machines but require strategic planning to conserve strength and courage for decisive actions. Morale is influenced by various factors including flank or rear attacks, casualties, volley shocks, artillery fire, and fatigue.</li>
 
 <li>Historically Accurate Forces and Leaders: The game features the full order of battle for both the Union Army of the Potomac and the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia. Players can command famous brigades such as the Iron Brigade, Louisiana Tigers, 1st Vermont, Bucktail Brigade, Gibraltar Brigade, Excelsior Brigade, and many more.</li>
